Instructor Training Seminar

You are invited to become an instructor for the TWOgether in Texas state certified course, Growing Love in Christian Marriage by attending an instructor training workshop. 

Growing Love in Christian Marriage (GLCM) is based on the understanding of marriage as a co-equal covenant between wife and husband.  Author Richard Hunt and Rev. Wendy Curran will co-lead the training sessions. Since its inception, pastors have used the GLCM couples book with over 300,000 couples.  

GLCM leaders may be clergy and/or lay persons, individuals and/or couples. At the seminar, instructors will learn how to organize and advertise the GLCM couples workshop, obtain additional internet and Power Point resources, and use GLCM in relation to wedding and marriage policies, and other marriage preparation programs. Hear from other pastors in the North TX Conference who are already certified TWOgether in Texas providers and learn how marriage ministry is impacting their churches. 

The GLCM course includes 8 sessions: commitment, communication, conflict management, companionship and lifestyle, career and finances, children and parenting, community networks, and compass for the future. After training, instructors will be able to organize and lead the 8 hour GLCM seminar at any location using a variety of formats and will then be able to register as providers with TWOgether in Texas.  We will also discuss ‘Marriage Ministry’ as part of adult education offerings in your church.
